I'm a dog person. I've got two Jack Russels X's who keep me on my toes when they're bouncing off the furniture and walls. They're bloody hard work when it comes to decorating but I've never known such faithful dogs before. They're sisters and 13 years old. One of them has had most her teeth removed but she'd still have a go! As a guard dog, she'd gum an intruder to death I've had cats when the kids were small but I never did get on with moggies . I'd never do them harm but I do wish they didn't exist! Smelly, flea ridden animals! Oh yeah and they shit in the garden and I always seem to find it when putting in new plants

In general I think blokes are more like dogs; loyal, trustworthy, loving, brave and kind, whereas women are like cats, sneaky skanking bastards.

My hound literally collects logs, which I can either leave or burn on the fire. Dogs are loyal and respond to humans. They're great company and fun to play with.

I understand that cats leave a calling card in the house. My hound would get his arse kicked for doing so, plus he'd understand why. Cats seem to work on auto-instinct to suit themselves whereas dogs go out of their way to please and interact. Either I go up to his level, or he comes down to mine, either way dogs are by and large very funny and quite cunning. Mine is fairly switched on in that he growls and shows his mettle over unusual circumstances, on the flip side .... he's very gentle and patient with children.
