He's a bit of a tosser in my opinion. He was france skipper at the World Cup and was the main protagonist when they refused to train leading upto their last group game. Today he has come out with some arrogant disrespectful comments about Arsenal. Now there may be an element of truth in his remarks but why make them public and come across a total wanker

Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has slammed Arsenal as a "training centre", due to their lack of silverware in recent years.

The two sides clash at Old Trafford on Monday, with the Gunners having not won any significant honour since the FA Cup in 2005 when they beat United on penalties.

At the time, the game was goalless after 120 minutes of play, and the spot-kicks saw Patrick Vieira score to help his side to the trophy - in what was to be his last kick of the ball for the north London club.

Fast forward five years, and Arsene Wenger's men are yet to win some silverware, prompting the Frenchman to add more emphasis on the League Cup this term.

Ahead of the Premier League game between the two sides, Evra told French TV channel Canal+: "Arsenal, a big club like that, have won nothing for five years. For me, it's a crisis, it's ridiculous.

"People get knocked out by Arsenal's play, but in the end, what is there? There's nothing. No trophies, nothing."

The 29-year-old also maintained that the Red Devils will "enjoy" playing against an attacking team, as teams have been known in the past to set out to earn a point against them.

However, Evra insisted that United still remain a better side than their opponents as they are not only good at playing positive football, but can also employ a physical style of play when necessary.

He said: "We really enjoy playing Arsenal - they don't play with 11 at the back. Difference is that we play football, but we also have power."
