| Poor girl, may her soul rest in peace.
I know this is a bit macabre, but...
I think that the boyfriend, Greg Reardon has done that.
He made the first tv appeal with her parents, when she had been missing a few days, and whilst they were calm, he was distraught, and, in my opinion, hamming it up a bit.
Then there's his his alibi, he was visiting family in another city.
Turns out it was his brother he was visiting, and when the brother was on tv, he didnt say 'Yeah, my brother was with me all the time', he said, 'Ive given the police the times and thats all I have to say'
Then it turns out he had left for Sheffield 'before Miss Yeates left the pub'. Not like 7 hrs before, just 'before she left the pub.
Now, he has disappeared off the face of the Earth, like he's being kept out of the loop.
Police have still not launched a murder enquiry.
I shouldn't gossip, & toss about mere conjecture, but my money is on him. |

| So very sad. The police think it may be a serial killer linked to the murder of Melanie Hall and the missing chef in Yorkshire, Claudia Lawrence. All three girls were fair haired and had a likeness to each other. |

Yes absolutely heartbreaking, all they want to do now is hold her and say goodbye. They will never be able to celebrate Christmas again.

Agreed...........reckon its the BF. How else would a grown woman get home, leave keys to house, coat and mobile phone in the house and then go out again......... unless she was going out with someone who also has keys to house to let her back in and whom perhaps has a car hence she wouldn't need a coat, and is told, we'll only be 5 minutes so don't need your phone (Can't trace the phone movements via the mobile towers then can they).
All premeditated...........murder by the BF or someone very close. Always is. |

| The Police will always look at people closely connected to the deceased & then work outwards.
My girls were having a moan at me for saying that the there's a strong possibility that the B/F has done it. He was over the top when the parents of Joanna were at the police conference before Christmas. For his sake I hope my Cynical thoughts are wrong but I fear the worst. |

| Oddest part of the whole damned affair is the missing pizza...
Police found her bag of shopping, complete with receipt. All the shopping was there bar a pizza, which has disappeared off the face of the earth. |

| What's his motive for killing her then? He wanted her pizza? Doesn't add up for me.
Just 25, its so very sad. Her mum and Dad were distraught, it wasn't an easy thing to watch at all. |

| Hmmmm.....
On the face of it, the 'evidence as presented to us', would seem to point away from him.
However.....
A Motive? They had been together less than a year and he was 'besotted' with her. It's a very fine line line between love & hate, and I'm guessing that the more the love, the more the pain & hate when it flips?
Jealousy over something is my guess.
Police have stated that they view him as a witness, not a suspect.
Her parents, say 'police are not telling us everything, but we don't want to push it.'
The police are playing their cards very close to their chest indeed.
My money's still on him, I think the police are playing him like a fiddle.
Columbo it aint! |

| yeah, here's a novel idea, stop gossiping like old women and let the poor family alone instead of internet whispering or Hardy Boys style plot making. It doesn't look good at all and quite frankly is an embarassing way for people to behave but you and the other Nancy Drews carry on if you wish you ghouls Regards F2F - Internet Sensitive _________________ The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so sure of themselves, and wiser people are full of doubts

Most of the country are doing it laddie!
I would say that the boyfriend is the number one suspect. He was my first but if he has a cast iron alibi then it can't be him!
A member of my family think it is her female friend who last spoke to her. It is undoubedly someone she knew.
