I think about 60m and bring back Aquilani

10m left-back (20m for someone like Coentrao)
10m centre back (Shawcross, Diego Godin - great player although gone to Athletico Madrid, Roger Johnson)
20m left winger (Ashley Young, Mata)
20m striker / attacking mid (Suarez, Lavezzi, Falcao - this boy's the business, Hulk)
Throw in Clint Dempo for £5m

Get rid of Johnson for 15m

My fantasy side (with 60m budget)

------------------------Peps----------------------

-------Kelly-----Godin------Agger-------Coentrao------

------------------Lucas-----Meireles--------------------

----------Suarez----Stevie/Aqui-------Falcao-------------

------------------------Torres----------------------------

I'll have Ronaldo, Rooney, Messi, Kaka, Iniesta, Cole and Villa

double that amount to 120M, and we just might be there JBJ.

Squads challenge for and win trophies these days, not just first elevens.

we need at least 6-7 additions to go right into the first team itself .

Nah mate, we can have big game Kuyt on the bench, Aurelio, Dempo, Skrtyl, Patch. Reckon 60m would be enough to get us back top 4

400 million.................399 million 999 thousand and one pounds net.

I'll just buy the entire Manc squad and give them ours for a nominal fee...........they can keep the stunted dwarf though.

I can't see us getting £60m of new money to spend even in the summer but I do feel that a top CB and left sided midfielder plus as you say the return of Aquilani and Insua would go a long way to improving us, yes of course we do need to unearth another replacement for Torres when he doesn't play play but as you see the price of Bent that will not be a priority as yet IMO and the young lads coming through should be given more of a chance.

If Johnson and Babel go it will free up some money and if Aquilani doesn't come back there will be some more, we need to start bringing players through the ranks to have any chance of the numbers of good players to deal with injury crises because if we just keep selling players to replace with lesser ones we will not improve and we will be heading towards the championship.
