Reina - 7. Barely moved.

Carra - 7. Solid
Skrtel - 9 Motm. Rock.
Agger - 7. Worked his way back to fitness with a competant shift.
Johnson - 6. Weak link in the back today.

Dirk - 8. Caused Bardsley no end of problems
Lucas - 6/7. Undecided. Did some brilliant stuff but often gave the ball away cheaply.
Spearing - 9 Motm. I'm going to apologise to Jay. He is impressing me more and more as games go by and I would not mind at all if he were to stay in the squad next season.
Raul - 6. Quiet game

Suarez - 7. Bitchy brilliance.
Carroll - 6. Bullied by Bramble and his touch was quite frankly awful.

Subs:
N'Gog - 7. Decent movement and decent touches. Suspect could have done more with longer on the pitch
Maxi - N/A
Cole - N/A

Thought J was boss today TSP, solid in the tackle, controled/patrolled the middle of the park with authority beyond his years and used the ball very well, one ball over the top to Suarez was ala Stevie Laughing, he bombed on and won the pen.

Congratulations to Lucas becoming a new Dad, the little 'un must be giving him sleepless nights...

That pic showed a nice touch of unity in the squad.

I thought Suarez was always dangerous, and Spearing was everywhere - really impressed me. Dirk was his usual bustling self, and Carroll looked much better early on than he did in the second half - should have been subbed earlier. His fitness will be improving with each passing game.

Agger is the difference in defence in my opinion. Very mobile, passes so well and brings the ball out superbly at times. Skrtel looks better with Agger beside him too. Lucas had an iffy game, but still produces some brilliant one touch stuff, and had one great through ball in the first half. Meireles was poor for me, failed to get into the game. No doubting his quality though.

I thought Ngog gave us a wee lift again when he came on with his movement.

All in all a good performance after a sticky start, and three points most importantly. Spearing and Suarez the main men for me.

Was thinking the same thing, team spirit has definitely returned or is more evident to us.
