I'm no misogynist, but this woman was accusing the the fella of exploitation for running a pole dancing club, despite no-one forcing the girls to work there, there was no-one chained up in the cellar.....

I worked on the cabs years ago (1989-1992) and had a regualr fare from Angels in Cumberland Street to the Colonades in the Albert Dock.........
not the owner of the club, but one of the dancers. She earned more on a Friday night in Tips than I earned on a week of nights. The only people being exploited were the 'mug-punters' tucking tenners in her G-string.

The club owners made their money on admission and extortionatley priced drinks, the girls got paid a percentage of every dance they did, and kept all tips for themselves.

I got paid £15 for a £3 fare, every Friday and Saturday night.

It was a bit different then (20 years ago) but that daft bint on the telly didn't have a clue......I didn't see the meal at her house...but they showed a clip of her 'modelling photos' talk about double-fucking-standards.....

Never been arsed about Lap Dancing bars... However I don't knock anyone who does, or the girls who work there. All have a choice and if its doing no harm, then what's the problem.

Like L22 points out, this other woman, if she's make money from modelling then she can't be so hypocritical. BTW, I have met a few Lap Dances and some do this will making their way through Uni and stuff, others do it as they can't see themseleves just working endlessly in mundane things and having nothing to show for it. - Basically can it be considered any different to the arts or sport? Think about it, you go to see people show off their talents, in footy we pay extortionate prices and often we ain't even happy or satisfied with the final outcome. This is a guarantee for those with an interest in such things, girls dancing with there baps out, does what it says on the tin. - As for theatre, been to many a play were there naked bods on show and yet those who give loads over lapping dancing, then give it all this rubbish about it art and not there to lech over.

For me to much of this hypocritical nonsense, the lass watches Gok and his fashion nonsense. all that show is about showing off and appealling and all this rubbish and making the most of whatever they have, even feeling good about being naked... So fair play to those who wish to make money out of Lap dancing.
